Trauma Therapist
Full Time - $22.00 - $28.00 per hour 
Positions available in Palm Coast and DeLand 


APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS: Florida Licensed clinical therapist in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Mental Health or Psychology or license eligible therapist with one year's experience working with sexually abused children and their families. Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. Must have valid Florida driver's license, current auto insurance and be approved by HND's insurance carrier. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver trauma counseling in accordance with the Children's Medical Services Sexual Abuse Treatment Program. Maintain sufficient caseload to meet the needs of clients and the agency. Meet outcomes and objectives of the assigned program area. Provide legal and ethical delivery, advocating for client rights. 

Prevention Specialist 

Full Time - $14.50 - $16.50 per hour 
Positions available in Volusia County  


APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS: Associates Degree preferred, 3 years like experience to substitute for degree. Experience working with elementary through high school age children. Understanding of child development, behavior management. Must have group, tutoring and computer skills. Must have valid Florida driver's license, current auto insurance and be insurable by the Agency's liability carrier. Pass a Level II Background Clearance. 
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ​​

Afterschool group leader/tutor. Assist with homework of various grade levels. Conduct group activities. Conduct parent conferences as needed. Physically capable to interact and play with children. Maintain strong relationships with the elementary schools children attend. Provide life skill development lessons and mentoring of youth. 

This position also reaches out to community groups for mentoring and introducing the Positive Action Curriculum. Participants are aged from 11-17 and are members of a sports or dance team. 

C.A.R.E.S. Coordinator 

Full Time - $17.50 - $19.50 per hour 
Position available in DeLand that will be covering Volusia and possibly Flagler counties. 


APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor level with 3 years' experience working with at-risk families. Must have valid Florida driver's license and current auto insurance. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The CARES Coordinator provides in-home services to families at high risk for entering the child welfare system to include education, safety planning, and assessment.

  • Using a strength based approach the Coordinator builds, and facilitates, a care team comprised of family, community and professional supports to assist the family in carrying out the goals written in the treatment plan. 

Family Partner

Full Time - $16.25 - $18.25 per hour 

Position available in DeLand.  


APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required. AA/AS Associates Degree or equivalent preferred. Three years' experience navigating the Child Welfare System and formal experience as a consumer, foster or adoptive parent. Must have a valid Florida driver's license, current auto insurance and be insurable by the Agency's liability carrier. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This is a liaison position involving the support and coordination of services for caregivers and families who require diversion and prevention supports. 

  • The Family Partner will work in concert with the Care Coordinator to conduct strength discoveries and co-lead Family Team Conferencing. 

  • The Family Partner engages through education and provides direct support, helps carry out crisis stabilization, models a strength-based approach, is a team member as needed and temporary surrogate support. 

  • The Family Partner carries out plan strategies, links families to natural supports and community resources, help families complete paperwork and model parenting skills. 

C.A.R.E.S. Coordinator 

Full Time - $17.50 - $19.50 per hour 

Two Full Time Positions, one based in Palm Coast that will be covering Flagler and Putnam Counties and one based in DeLand that will be covering Volusia and possibly Flagler Counties.

School Based Prevention Specialist 

Full Time - $16.00 - $18.00 per hour 

Full Time Position based in Daytona Beach and Flagler County. 

Projected start date: 01/03/2023


APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor level with background and coursework in psychology, child development behavior disorders, group skills, behavior management and family counseling. Must have valid Florida driver's license, current auto insurance and be approved as a driver by HND's insurance carrier. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide school based and in-home counseling according to the child's needs. Prepare and maintain all behavioral plans and reports concerning the child's progress in the program. Involve each child in group and individual support sessions.
